Sem doktorica pravnih znanosti z opravljenjim pravniških državnim izpitom, izredna profesorica prava na Pravni fakulteti Univerze v Mariboru in Jean Monnet Chair profesorica prava EU. Prodekanica za raziskovalno dejavnost in mednarodne odnose (2015-2019) in vodja doktorskega študija (od oktobra 2016). Raziskovalno in pedagoško delam na področju prava EU. Doslej nosilka treh projektov Evropske komisije Jean Monnet, trenutno vodim Jean Monnet Chair za področje pravnih vidikov pametne in sodelovalne ekonomije v EU. Kot gostujoča predavateljica sem predavala na Univerzi v Ljubljani, na Oxfordu, v Grazu, v Trstu, na Dunaju, v Budimpešti, Pragi, na PF v Sarajevu, na Sciences Po v Parizu, v Luksemburgu, na univerzi v Edinburgu, v Kingstonu in drugod. Sem tudi mentorica študentom, ki se vsakoletno pripravljajo na tekmovanje iz prava EU (European Law Moot Court Competition), študentom pri sodniški praksi Amicus Curiae, doslej mentorica preko sto študentom pri pripravi zaključnih del na dodiplomskem, magistrskem in doktorskem študiju; vrsto let tudi organiziram tekmovanje iz pogajanj za slovenske študente prava in sem urednica bloga za študente prava. Sem članica skupine avtorjev, ki za založbo Springer pripravljajo komentar Pogodbe o delovanju EU (ur. Blanke/Mangiameli), zadolžena za določbe o prostem pretoku blaga. Članica Evropskega pravnega inštituta (ELI, Dunaj) in Slovenskega društva za evropsko pravo. Od 2014 sem članica skupine pravnih strokovnjakov pri MZZ za svetovanje o vprašanjih nasledstva nekdanje SFRJ, sodelujem na posvetih o prihodnosti EU po Brexitu, od avgusta 2015 sem članica Skupine za prihodnost Slovenije (Future Champions Group), ki jo je imenovala Vlada RS za pripravo strategije razvoja Slovenije do 2050. Bila sem tudi članica delovne skupine za pripravo pravnih podlag za ustanovitev nacionalne komisije za integriteto v znanosti in sem članica usmerjevalne skupine ARRS (2016-2018). V okviru sodelovanja z gospodarstvom pripravljam pravna mnenja o pravnih vprašanjih EU, sodelujem v arbitražah in sem članica nadzornega sveta večje gospodarske družbe.

Within my work for commercial practice I am preparing legal opinions concerning EU law problems, I am involved in arbitration and am a member of the supervisory board of a large Slovenian company.
